The Fifth Sunday of Lent

Hello everyone

Please find attached the Lent Liturgy for this coming Sunday.  The cross is in the entrance porch and John McCarthy is adding the symbols each week.  I hope that by doing this it helps in some way to make us feel connected to our Church as well as to each other.   Also attached is part of Andrew Marshall’s address for Sunday which will add to our sense of connectedness.  Andrew, as always, prepares well in advance, and this lovely story is one he would have shared if we had been worshipping in our Chapel on Sunday.  It is well worth reading.  After you’ve read it you might like to join me in encouraging Andrew to use any free time he has to take up the trumpet.  He’ll probably want to shoot me for suggesting it but then we only meet up courtesy of the Zoom app these days!

Don’t forget to light your candle in the evening.  Hopefully this is catching on.

Please get in touch either by email or phone.  We would all love to hear from you even if it is just a quick note to say that you are managing OK.  If you are struggling in any way then it is even more important to get in touch.  We are around all the time and you are our priority.  If you want worship resources or just to talk please, please get in touch.

We don’t know how long these coronavirus restrictions will last but we will keep in contact via the Newsletter, phone, email and Zoom if you fancy a face to face talk.  The second edition of the Newsletter is out this weekend.  Watch out for it.

Meanwhile, God bless and keep safe
