Christian Aid Week 2015

Christian Aid Week

May 10-16, throughout Wetherby and the UK

2015 is the 70th anniversary of the founding of Christian Aid. Born in the ashes of World War Two, it is still responding to needs that are just as vital today as they’ve ever been.

If you can help with the house-to-house collection, it’s still not too late to call Will & Shirley Fawcett (584816) to volunteer – they’d be overjoyed to hear from you.

Other special events are:

  • Coffee Morning with plant stall: Saturday May 9, 9:30am – 12:30pm, at St James
  • Coffee morning Mk II: Saturday May 16, 9:30am – 12:30pm at Wetherby Methodist
  • Can Collection in Morrisons: Friday May 22: all day (and yes, we know that isn’t during CAW, but it’s the date Morrison’s could accommodate us). If you are able to help with the can collection – it isn’t arduous – please contact Val Dyson (583700).

We are in urgent need for someone to organise for Christian Aid from 2016. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact your Churches Together representative.
