WHAM! (Sunday Evening Youth Group)

WHAM! is an Ecumenical youth group for young people who are in School Years 8 and up (current age range is 13-17).  We meet each Sunday evening in the term time.  We have a mixed programme of light-hearted fun sessions and more serious discussion sessions where we look at a range of issues from a Christian perspective.

Occasionally we go out for the afternoon or evening, for example in the last year we have been to the York Maize Maze and Gravity at Xscape in Castleford.

Here’s what some of the young people have to say about Wham!

It’s a great place to get together with your friends whilst exploring the Bible and having lots of fun. We go out to places like Gravity at Castleford. Recently we went away for a weekend with another Youth Group and had a great time”
Heather Age 17

It is a really good place to go and we learn a lot about God”
Joseph Age 16

It’s a fun way to learn about Christianity whilst socialising with friends”
Lucy Age 13

Free biscuits and crisps every week!!”
Nathan Age 16
